The summer transfer window is heating up around the Stadio Olimpico as AS Roma prepare for significant interest in their defensive cornerstone, Evan Ndicka. The Ivorian international, who has established himself as one of Serie A’s most reliable left-footed center-backs, is reportedly being valued by the Giallorossi at approximately €35 million. While he remains a vital part of the Roman setup, the club’s financial considerations may dictate a departure if a suitable offer arrives.

In the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be leading the chase. Ange Postecoglou is keen to bolster his defensive options with a player who possesses Ndicka’s unique combination of physical presence and technical proficiency. The London club has long searched for a versatile defender capable of playing in a high defensive line, and the 24-year-old fits the recruitment profile perfectly as they look to bridge the gap to the top four.

However, Spurs face stiff competition from the reigning Italian champions. Inter Milan see Ndicka as an ideal candidate to refresh their aging backline. With the Nerazzurri often operating in a three-man defense, Ndicka’s experience on the left side of a defensive trio makes him a tactically astute option for Simone Inzaghi. Moving to the San Siro would allow the defender to remain in Italy, where he has already successfully adapted to the tactical rigors of the league.

Adding a third dimension to this pursuit is Olympique Marseille. The French giants are looking to make a statement in Ligue 1 and view the former Eintracht Frankfurt man as a marquee signing. A return to France could be an enticing prospect for the defender, especially with the project currently being built at the Stade Vélodrome. Marseille’s recruitment strategy has become increasingly ambitious, and snatching Ndicka from under the noses of English and Italian suitors would be a significant coup.

Despite the mounting interest, a departure is not yet a foregone conclusion. Roma manager Daniele De Rossi considers Ndicka a key component of his tactical framework. The defender’s ability to initiate play from the back has been crucial to Roma’s progressive style. Unless a club meets the €35 million asking price upfront, the Giallorossi hierarchy may decide that his value on the pitch outweighs the financial gain of a sale.

As the negotiations progress, the player's preference will likely prove decisive. Between the allure of the Premier League, the chance to defend a Scudetto at Inter, or a homecoming in France, Ndicka holds several strong cards. For now, the ball remains in Roma’s court as they wait to see which suitor will be the first to formalize their interest with a concrete bid.
