Florentino Perez Re-elected; Confirms Jose Mourinho Return
Florentino Perez has confirmed the high-profile return of Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid following his successful re-election as president. The club will pay a €15m fee to Benfica to secure the services of the Special One.

Following his re-election as president of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez used his victory speech to confirm the appointment of Jose Mourinho, offering high praise for the incoming manager. To facilitate the return of the "Special One" to the Bernabéu, the club will pay 15 million euros to Benfica.
Pérez opened his address by reflecting on the electoral process: “It was a great day for Real Madrid. We win at every table, that is, in all age groups. And we achieved the second best result in the history of the Real Madrid elections. It's an extraordinary result. It could have been even better, because almost a thousand votes were invalidated, and we will appeal because we believed we did the right thing. We have set an example for the world of transparency and coexistence. As president of Real Madrid, I'm proud. The members expressed themselves freely to decide the future of the club".
Turning his attention to the future and the arrival of Mourinho, the president continued: “We will continue to work, proud of the Bernabéu, of one of the best clubs in the world and one of the best coaches in the world, Jose Mourinho. Do not doubt, Real Madrid will continue to belong to the partners. They showed the world what it means to be a Real Madrid fan. I want to thank everyone who participated in this election. The partners have shown responsibility and a great sense of duty. We must be united. I want to continue to build a club that remains at the top. We will continue to fight for the 16th UEFA Champions League. I would like to address the partners who did not vote for me: I will listen to all their explanations and suggestions.”
