Tchouameni clears air on Valverde incident at Real Madrid
Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has clarified reports regarding a training ground dispute with teammate Federico Valverde. He dismissed claims of a physical fight, insisting the pair remain focused on winning titles together.

During a recent press conference with the French national team, Aurélien Tchouaméni addressed the widely discussed altercation between himself and Real Madrid teammate Federico Valverde.
While the midfielder did not deny that an incident occurred, he was firm in refuting several details reported by the media. "I want to clarify a few things," Tchouaméni stated. "Something certainly happened, you saw and heard about it in the news. However, everything was amplified because of the press coverage; when you play for Real Madrid, every action triggers a massive reaction."
Tchouaméni emphasized that much of the narrative surrounding the dispute was fabricated. "A lot of nonsense has been written. I read reports that there was a physical fight and that I punched him, that is false. I won't delve into the specifics, but the most important thing is that the club is fully aware of what transpired."
The French international noted that such disagreements are a natural, if typically private, part of professional football. "Many things happen in a locker room that never reach the public eye. Life goes on. Fede and I share a common goal: winning titles with Real Madrid. There is no issue between us."
When asked about a potential showdown at the World Cup, Tchouaméni insisted their club history would have no bearing on the pitch. "If we face each other, I will simply be focused on winning for France. On a personal level, there is currently no problem with Valverde."
In a final note, the Real Madrid star offered his congratulations to Paris Saint-Germain following their Champions League triumph. "I believe PSG deserved the title. Naturally, I would have preferred Real Madrid to win it, but we are happy for them and offer our congratulations."
He confirmed that he had reached out to several Parisian players following the final. "Of course. We are pleased for PSG; they earned it. We are happy for our international teammates, as it is always a benefit for the French national team to have so many European champions in the squad."
